Job SummaryServes as a service line/department leader for the operations and day to day practice of the Advanced Practice Providers. Serves as a clinical resource liaison for APPs, partners with institute and hospital leadership and other department leaders to ensure safety, quality and standard of care. Job DetailsCleveland Clinic is currently seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Registered Nurse for a Team Lead position at the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus. Primary responsibilities include:Lead the local APRN wound care team, overseeing day-to-day operations, scheduling, teaching, mentoring, and process improvement.Collaborate with other departments to ensure comprehensive patient care and effective communication.Engage in potential research projects and provide support to the APRN manager.participate in direct patient care.WOCNB certification required for this position.Responsibilities:Primary role is that of an APRN or PA providing clinical practice in accordance with privileges granted and as appropriate for certification and licensure.Assists management with resource allocation and scheduling needs. Promotes translation of evidence-based practice, guidelines and research.Supports research studies and assists in data collection and analysis as appropriate.Serves as a preceptor for students and onboards new caregivers.Drives SQPE initiatives and ensures policy adherence.Other duties as assigned.Education:Effective 05/01/2014: MSN required upon hire or within 3 years of hire for external hires and internal hires moving from a non-APRN licensed role to an APRN licensed role. Graduate of an accredited APRN program. If in neonatal care service area Master’s Degree is required upon hire. Languages:English, written and spoken.Certifications:WOCNB certification requiredNP Currently licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in applicable state(s). Must be licensed as an RN in applicable state(s). National certification as a Nurse Practitioner by nationally accredited organization recognized by state Board of Nursing. Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through the American Heart Association (AHA); or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) through the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) may be required based upon work setting. Must have arrangements with at least one physician in accordance with requirements set forth by the State Board of Nursing in applicable states. Must be credentialed and privileged by the Medical Executive Committee and the Governing Body of the applicable hospitals. CNS Currently licensed as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in applicable state(s). Must be licensed as an RN in applicable state(s). National certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist by nationally accredited organization recognized by state Board of Nursing. Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through the American Heart Association (AHA); or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) through the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) may be required based upon work setting. Must have arrangements with at least one physician in accordance with requirements set forth by the State Board of Nursing in applicable states. Must be credentialed and privileged by the Medical Executive Committee and the Governing Body of the applicable hospitals Complexity of Work:Demonstrated competency and ability to perform advanced assessment, diagnosis, treatment plan development, and invasive procedures as per clinical privileges.Flexibility to adjust to changing initiatives and performance criteria.Ability to partner with other leaders and influence outcomes.Ability to think critically and make sound decisions in stressful situations.Effective time management skills.Work Experience:Minimum of one year experience as an Advanced Practice Provider.Physical Requirements:Normal vision and hearing range (can be corrected) to properly examine, evaluate and communicate with patients.Ability to use a computer, phone and other technology to document patient records.Physical ability to assist patients as appropriate.Ability to stand for long periods and walk throughout the hospital campus and buildings.Personal Protective Equipment:Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
