Cleveland Clinic is excited to announce an opening for a Manager Advanced Practice in the field of Wound and Ostomy. This is a unique opportunity to lead and inspire a dedicated team of caregivers across our global enterprise.

This position requires Wound ostomy continence certification through the WOCNCB.

Leadership experience is preferred. We will take informal leadership experience into consideration.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership: Oversee and guide inpatient APRN, RN, and LPN wound and ostomy caregivers across both domestic and international locations.Clinical Excellence: Develop, implement, educate, and maintain WOC (Wound Ostomy Continence) clinical standards to ensure the highest quality of nursing care.Standardization: Lead the Enterprise Wound Affinity to align standards of practice across the entire organization.Innovation: Investigate and integrate best practices into clinical operations.Quality Improvement: Develop and implement quality initiatives, policies, and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of inpatient and outpatient nursing care.Direct Patient Care: Provide exceptional nursing care to patients requiring WOC services, adhering to established policies, procedures, and protocols.Other Duties as Assigned

Education:

Graduate of an accredited APRN program.

Languages:

English, written and spoken.

Certifications:

Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.Wound Ostomy Continence Certification through the WOCNCB.Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) may be required based on assigned department.

Complexity of Work:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Demonstrated competency and ability to perform advanced assessment, diagnosis, treatment plan development, and invasive procedures as per clinical privileges.Ability to interact effectively with all members of the institute, department, hospital and other caregivers at all levels.Ability to coach and mentor for developmental and performance outcomes and build a culture of continuous improvement. Ability to think critically and make sound decisions in stressful situations.

Work Experience:

Minimum of three years’ experience as an Advanced Practice Provider.Leadership experience is preferred. We will take informal leadership experience into consideration.

Physical Requirements:

Normal vision and hearing range (can be corrected) to properly examine, evaluate and communicate with patients.Ability to use a computer, phone and other technology to document patient records.Physical ability to assist patients as appropriate.Ability to stand for long periods and walk throughout the hospital campus and buildings.

Personal Protective Equipment:

Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
