**Job Title: Electrical Apprentice** **Contract Job- 4 Months** **Pay: $18- $20/hr. depending on experience** **Large Construction Site Experience is a Plus!** **Blacksburg, VA** Job Description Join our team as an Electrical Apprentice where you will support the installation of lighting equipment and LED upgrades. This role involves preparing fixtures for installation, learning the installation process, and ensuring the smooth operation of the installation team. Responsibilities + Assist in the installation of lighting equipment and LED upgrades. + Prepare fixtures for installation. + Learn and support the installation process. + Provide materials to technicians to keep the process efficient. + Maintain cleanliness by sweeping floors and picking up trash throughout the process. Essential Skills + Basic electrical aptitude. + Familiarity with assembly, service, and lighting. + Experience with light fixtures and electrical work. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in large construction sites is a plus. + Strong initiative and eagerness to learn. + Reliability and strong attendance are crucial. Work Environment You will be working with a small crew of about 3-4 people per team at VA Tech. The project will run through the middle of January, with the possibility of more jobs following. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, with 10-hour workdays, and Fridays off. Start times are 8:30 am on Mondays and 6:30 am on Tuesday through Thursday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Blacksburg, Virginia. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
