**Job Title: Apprentice Elevator Mechanic** **Job Description** We are seeking an Apprentice Elevator Mechanic to work alongside licensed mechanics on new construction job sites or new elevator installation sites. The role requires individuals with strong organizational skills, time management abilities, and excellent customer listening skills. Proficiency in MIG and stick welding, as well as experience with blueprints and schematics, are highly valued. MUST BE OPEN TO TRAVEL. You will be gone MON-FRIDAY about 85% of the time. **Responsibilities** + Shadow licensed elevator mechanics at construction and installation sites. + Maintain cleanliness and organization at job sites. + Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines. + Listen and respond to customer needs and inquiries. + Perform MIG and stick welding tasks as required. + Read and interpret blueprints and schematics. **Essential Skills** + Comfortable working in small spaces. + Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods. + Proficiency in reading tape measures. + Mechanical skill set relevant to elevator mechanics. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in auto mechanics or related mechanical/electrical fields. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints (preferred). **Why Work Here?** Join an employee-owned company where your contributions are valued and rewarded.
