About the role:
This role is offered under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) in accordance with the Apprentices Act, 1961.The Apprentice – Data Issue Management will undergo structured, on-the-job training within the Finance Data Governance organization, supporting the Data Issue Management & Risk Monitoring function. The role is designed to provide practical exposure, skill development, and industry-relevant learning, preparing the apprentice for future employability in finance and data governance functions. The apprentice will work under close supervision and guidance of senior team members and will not be considered a regular employee.
Key responsibilities
Support the Data Issue Management lifecycle, including issue intake, documentation, classification, prioritization, root cause analysis, remediation tracking, and closure validation.
Assist in monitoring data risks across key finance datasets and reports under defined supervision.
Learn and support risk-based monitoring activities, including early warning indicators, basic risk metrics, and control effectiveness tracking.
Maintain and update a centralized log of data issues, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and audit readiness.
Support preparation of reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders, focusing on issue trends, remediation status, and key risk insights
Participate in structured training sessions, knowledge-sharing forums, and mandatory compliance learnings as required under NATS.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidate must be within five years of graduation completion.
Candidate must have less than or equal to 11 months of prior work experience (not mandatory).
Candidate must not have completed apprenticeship under any Government of India apprenticeship scheme earlier
Basic understanding of finance, data, or reporting concepts.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
Working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint.
Willingness to learn tools related to data quality, data governance, and reporting (e.g., Collibra, SQL – exposure preferred, not mandatory).
Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams.
Positive attitude, learning agility, and curiosity to develop new skills.
