Applied Innovation Lead, Senior
Position Description:

CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Applied Innovation Lead within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. You must have a passion for keeping pace with rapidly evolving technology advancements and leveraging your knowledge on a highly collaborative team to deliver state-of-the-art capabilities.
The Applied Innovation Lead involves fostering a culture of creativity and executing new ideas by leading cross-functional teams, collaborating with stakeholders, and staying current with emerging technologies to drive growth and solve business challenges. Key responsibilities include driving digital exploration from ideation to implementation, managing projects with a focus on ROI, and communicating progress to senior leadership. Essential skills include strong leadership, communication, a strategic mindset, and a deep understanding of industry trends and relevant technologies like AI.

This position is located in USA VA Arlington, however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Innovation Strategy: Develop and execute strategies for innovation, potentially focused on digital transformation, business model change, or specific technologies like AI.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various departments (e.g., product, marketing, engineering, operations) to identify opportunities, generate ideas, and implement solutions.
• Project Leadership: Guide innovation initiatives from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals and a positive return on investment (ROI).
• Culture Cultivation: Foster an environment that encourages creativity, new ideas, and structured experimentation throughout the organization.
• Technology & Trend Analysis: Stay informed about the latest technological advancements and industry trends, and assess their potential impact and application within the company.
• Communication: Clearly communicate progress, results, and the value of innovation initiatives to stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, internal teams, and external partners.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree and/or 5 to 10 years of experience
• Security Clearance: TS/SCI required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly highly desired
• Strategic Thinking: The ability to see the big picture, identify market needs, and translate them into actionable innovation plans.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead diverse teams, unite stakeholders, and inspire others around a common vision.
• Communication & Presentation: Exceptional skills in conveying ideas, progress, and outcomes to various audiences, from technical teams to executives.
• Technical Expertise: A strong understanding of relevant technologies, particularly in areas like AI, data analytics, and digital platforms.
• Business Acumen: Deep knowledge of business objectives, project goals, and the ability to assess the business value and ROI of proposed innovations.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: The capability to use both qualitative and quantitative data to inform innovation efforts and validate new offerings.
• Change Management: Experience in managing complex projects and implementing new technologies and processes in a fast-paced environment.

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $100,000.00 - $150000.00.
