We currently have a full-time opportunity for a Junior Application System Analyst on the Store Technology Solutions team. This role can be based out of one our main offices including: Stellarton, NS; Mississauga, ON; Calgary, AB. As a Junior Application Systems Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting and evolving Sobeys’ Point-of-Sale (POS) platforms and other in-house store technologies. You’ll bring technical expertise, lead delivery of enhancements, and provide technical support to keep our store systems stable, modern, and high performing. **Key Responsibilities** **Product & Application Expertise** + Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of POS solutions, in-house store applications, and associated services within the Store Technology Solutions portfolio. + Maintain up-to-date expertise on supported applications and provide guidance to cross-functional teams. + Work with our Business Analysts to translate product and business needs into actionable requirements, enhancements, and fixes. **\#LI-Hybrid** \#LI-VJ1 **Advanced Technical Support (Level 3)** + Provide expert-level troubleshooting and issue resolution for complex application incidents. + Monitor application performance, integrations, and end-user experience to proactively identify issues. + Recommend and implement improvements to system stability, reliability, and performance. + Identify opportunities to automate workflows or improve business processes using application capabilities. + Communicate risks, root causes, and mitigation strategies to leadership and operations teams. **Project and Enhancement Delivery** + Participate across all phases of the software development lifecycle: design, build, testing, deployment, and transition to operations. + Collaborate with solution architects and developers to ensure solutions meet business needs and align with Sobeys’ architecture standards and patterns. + Balance requirements from multiple business teams to define practical and scalable technical solutions. + Maintain visibility into product backlogs, incidents, and project progress for key stakeholders. + Serve as a liaison between business partners, vendors, and technical teams to ensure alignment and smooth delivery. **What you have to offer:** **Your experience and resume will show us:** + Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related IT discipline (or equivalent experience). + 5+ years’ experience in application support, enhancements, and solution delivery. + Strong technical knowledge of Point-of-Sale systems or other retail store technologies. + Experience in vendor management and working with third-party service providers. + Retail industry experience is preferred. **Who we are:** We started in a small town in Nova Scotia but we are now in communities of all sizes across this great country.
