Company Description

As an Application Support Engineer for Eurofins Food and Environment Testing PL you will be working with our software support application teams. You will be providing second and third line support to our business customers for software application related issues as well as working on projects to move away from current legacy solutions and to implement business tools and systems (new version of eLIMS).

While working on internal software systems in our laboratories across the CEE region, you will be part of the support team and also play an integral role in the implementation team, working to implement new systems and improve processes. You will be working with the support engineers, as well as business analysts and developers as part of a large and dynamic IT Solutions team.

The role is located in Katowice. This position reports to the Team Leader of the CEE team for Eurofins Food and Environment Testing Poland.

Job Description

Key duties as an Application Support Engineer include:

provide 2nd and 3rd level support for internal business users across CEE, identifying and resolving issues related to lab software systems,troubleshoot and configure internal tools and applications, with a strong focus on EOL (Eurofins OnLine) modules and integrations,support the rollout, user adoption, and stabilization of EOL within regional labs, including issue resolution and coordination with global development teams,execute SQL queries and scripts for diagnostics, reporting, and configuration,contribute to the development of business reporting tools and dashboards,collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements in lab operations and digital workflows,support the transition from legacy LIMS to new standardized platforms, ensuring minimal disruption to laboratory functions,work on customer-facing tools (such as Eurofins OnLine) and internal sales support systems,participate in ongoing EOL evolution: feedback collection, testing of new features, and system optimization.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

2-3 years of experience in a similar position - preferred experience with web applications,proven experience in writing SQL queries and scripts (MS SQL Server preferred),excellent communication skills to effectively discuss business problems and issues,strong problem-solving abilities,a passion for technology,strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. The role demands extensive research, predominantly in English, and the ability to formulate questions and responses from scratch. Successfully collaborates with multiple teams to find effective solutions.

Beneficial skills include:

experience with Apache MQ,familiarity with BI platforms such as Qlikview or Power BI,experience with Visual Basic development would also be a plus,experience with Azure Devops.
