Job DescriptionLocation: Broad Street, SheffieldFulltime, permanent Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 per annumHybrid: Minimum of 2 days in the office per week

 

Responsibilities

As an Application Support Analyst, you will:

Manage and resolve customer support tickets using a ticketing systemMonitor and meet SLAs and team goalsInvestigate, analyse, and resolve issues raised by customersRead, understand, and occasionally amend code to support issue resolutionCommunicate effectively with customers, providing updates and guidanceDocument technical specifications and support-related informationParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancementsCollaborate with a distributed team across locationsReport to the team lead and management when required Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who can bring a strong foundation in application support, with the ability to investigate issues, communicate effectively, and contribute to team success. You should be able to demonstrate:

Essential experience and skills:

Experience working in an application or technical support roleAbility to analyse, investigate and resolve customer issuesStrong communication skills — both verbal and written — with the ability to explain technical concepts to a variety of audiencesA good understanding of web-based or desktop Client Server architecturesSolid technical grounding with the ability to read and interpret codeStrong organisational skills and the ability to manage time and prioritiesA collaborative approach and comfort working in distributed or hybrid teamsA degree in a technology or computer science discipline

Desirable skills and technologies:

If you have experience with some of the technologies below, even better — but if you don’t, we’ll support your development:

Oracle SQL and PL/SQLC#, AngularJS, XMLJavaScript (ES6), HTML, CSSREST APIs and JSONMongoDBVersion control tools such as GitUnix/Linux environmentsPowerBuilderBackend programming (e.g., Python, Ruby, Java, .NET) and frameworks like Node, Django, or SpringITIL qualificationKnowledge of financial services software
