Application Processor (Domestic) (Multiple Openings, Intermittent)

The Admissions team is seeking individuals with strong attention to detail who share these values and are interested in joining a fast-paced work environment as Application Processors to assist in the processing of over 60,000 first-year applications for the Autumn 2026 First-Year class. Application Processors must be able to learn quickly and manage a large workload with speed and accuracy, while adhering to and upholding University of Washington’s policy on confidentiality. This position reports to the Assistant Director for First-Year Processing. There will be approximately three weeks of fast paced, intensive remote training. Specialized training may be provided as deemed necessary. Selected candidates for this position would be expected to independently complete repetitive and detailed procedures with speed and accuracy. Work will be continually reviewed to verify consistent implementation of procedures. Candidates will work remotely, but closely with Office of Admissions staff and must make a commitment for the entire duration of the assignment, October 20 through January 30 or as dictated by workload demands. Processors will be required to pick up and transport technology equipment (laptop, charger, monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc.) from UW Seattle the week prior to October 20. **Schedule** The Office of Admissions (virtual) is open Monday through Friday, excluding state holidays*. Consistent attendance is required. I. Training schedule (6hr/day): Monday, October 20 – Friday, Nov 7 8am to 3pm II. Work schedule* (8hr/day): Monday, Nov 10 – Friday, Jan 30† 8am to 5pm †Tentative end date *Application Processors will not be scheduled to work (https://hr.uw.edu/ops/leaves/holiday-calendar/) • Tuesday, Nov. 11 • Thursday, Nov. 27 • Friday, Nov. 28 • Thursday, Dec. 25 • Thursday, Jan. 1 • Monday, Jan. 19 **Key Responsibilities** Application Processors will work closely with the Domestic First-Year Admissions team to process first-year applications. + Review and accurately enter applicant data + Process 160+ applications per day + Verify that files are complete for admission review + Evaluate applications for minimum requirements and calculate GPAs + Participate in online training activities and discussions via Microsoft Teams + Other duties as assigned, which may include matching/attaching transcripts to application folders, reading and responding to emails, data checking, etc. **Required Qualifications** To be considered for this opportunity your application must demonstrate you meet both the minimum qualifications and any additional requirements listed below. **_Minimum Qualifications_** + High school graduation or GED equivalent, AND one year of admissions or registrar's office experience, or one year's college education. Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration. **Preferred Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree preferred + Familiarity with course grades and GPA calculation, such as U.S. high school/college systems + Ability to embrace constant change with flexibility + Intermediate computer literacy **Working Conditions** + Candidate must be able to travel to UW Seattle campus for equipment pick up and return.
