What will you do?
We are seeking an experienced Application Engineering Specialist to join our team at Siemens EP in Oakville. The ideal candidate will provide technical expertise in electrical power distribution systems, focusing on switchboard configurations, custom solutions, and technical support across various project phases.
Provide technical clarification and support for all engineering-related functions Actively participate in project kick-off meetings to address and resolve potential technical challenges Create and manage Product Modification Orders (PMOs) for custom configurations and special options Develop and revise approval drawings for switchboard projects according to established timelines Collaborate with the Production Engineering team to provide technical guidance during manufacturing processes Support the Service department with technical consultation and PMO requirements for spare parts and product modifications Perform on-site technical support as needed.What will you need to succeed?
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field Professional Engineering license (P.Eng.) preferred Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical power distribution systems Experience with creating wiring diagrams including PLC wiring Strong knowledge of electrical switchboard and power distribution equipment Proficiency in CAD software and engineering design tools Experience with product modification and custom engineering solutions Strong technical problem-solving abilities Excellent project management skills Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Knowledge of relevant electrical codes and standards Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and accuracyAbout us.
