As a trainee, you will receive hands-on experience and training in developing, implementing, and supporting technical solutions based on Danfoss Drives products. This role offers a unique opportunity to grow into a customer-facing technical specialist, contributing to real-world projects while learning from experienced professionals.
Job ResponsibilitiesAs an Application Engineer Trainee, your responsibilities will evolve as you grow into the role, including:
Supporting senior engineers in delivering customer-specific application solutions for industrial and marine systems.
Participating in system design tasks, such as preparing Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), wiring schematics, and technical descriptions.
Assisting in product testing, system commissioning, and on-site troubleshooting under the guidance of experienced engineers.
Collaborating with sales, service, and R&D teams to address technical inquiries and ensure solution feasibility.
Attending customer meetings to learn how to assess needs and propose appropriate drive and automation solutions.
Participating in technical documentation, project tracking, and order follow-ups.
Learning to work with drive parameterization tools and application software.

The ideal candidate possesses these skills.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field.
A keen interest in power electronics, control systems, or industrial automation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eagerness to learn and take initiative.
Good communication skills in English (written and spoken); knowledge of Danish and/or Norwegian is a plus.
Willingness to travel occasionally as part of the learning experience.
A collaborative mindset and a desire to grow into a customer-facing technical role.
