We are now seeking to add a Application Engineer to support our off-highway equipment customers across the EMEA region.

 

As am Application Engineer within the Central Application Team you will be a part of a community of 50+ dedicated engineers within the EMEA region. This team is directly linked to our sales teams to provide first class support to our customers. You will work between our headquarters in Nordborg, on-site with our customers, and remotely.  The job does involve some travel activity to customers and other internal locations, both regionally and internationally.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will have direct contact with our customers and distribution partners. Your main task will be to support our customers and to apply solutions based on Danfoss Power Solutions’ mobile hydraulics, electrification and electronic control products. As a part of the Central Application Team, you will have additional tasks to work with demo-vehicles on our Application Development Centre (ADC) in Nordborg.

Furthermore, you will:
•    Specify our product options tailored to customer needs.
•    Offer application support, including hydraulic system design and sizing, to meet customer requirements
•    Engage in pre-sales activities, deliver technical presentations and training sessions for our customers
•    Supporting customers in using our PLUS+1 software applications
•    Conduct on-site machine testing and tuning both at our customers and at our ADC in Nordborg.
•    Address daily inquiries and tasks to meet customer technical needs efficiently.
•    Lead customer projects, facilitating communication between internal and customer stakeholders.
•    Share insights into current and future technical trends in the mobile market with the team and other stakeholders, ensuring the customer's voice is heard.
•    Take care of some of our demo-vehicles at our ADC in Nordborg
•    Support facilitating customer technology days with your technical expertise

What We're Looking For

We expect applicants to demonstrate:

•    Degree or equivalent in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field with a strong analytical approach to hydraulics, electronics and application control systems. 
•    Outgoing, proactive individual who excels in communication both with customers and internal stakeholders. 
•    Dedicated and eager to learn and open to new ideas and improvements. You will perfectly fit to our team with a team-player attitude and the right mindset of self-motivation as well as a well-structured way of working method. 
•    Strong written and verbal English skills. 

Seen as an advantage:
•    Experience or knowledge in application engineering, especially in mobile off-road applications.
•    Familiarity with application control systems, CAN bus communication, hydraulic systems and analysis.
•    Background with farming machinery and/or experience in operating off-highway machinery
•    Danish language skills are considered as an advantage
