You will utilize Java frameworks and languages such as Ruby, or Groovy for web development, focusing on enterprise application development. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Design and Develop Applications: Design, develop, and support applications based on the Java/JEE technology stack, utilizing Java frameworks and languages such as Ruby, or Groovy for web development. • Implement Transaction Management: Implement transaction management, manage Java objects, and integrate enterprise systems, ensuring seamless functionality and data integrity. • Apply Development Methodologies: Apply expertise in dependency injection, inversion of control, aspect-oriented programming, functional programming, test-driven development, data access frameworks, transaction management frameworks, and batch processing to deliver high-quality solutions. • Utilize DevOps Methodologies: Utilize DevOps methodologies and tools to ensure efficient and effective application development, deployment, and maintenance. • Integrate Enterprise Systems: Integrate enterprise systems, ensuring interoperability and data consistency across the organization. **Required technical and professional expertise** * Experienced Developer with at least 5 years of experience in Java * Degree in Computer Science or Engineering * Good knowledge in design, development and implementation of Java code (11+) * Good understanding of the Spring framework or similar (Quarkus) * Experience with springboot * Good understanding of REST services * Good understanding of relational databases * Good understanding of ORM (Hibernate) * Good understanding of automated testing patterns(unit, integration) * Basic understanding of Docker and creating images * Basic understanding of Kubernetes: application deployment, monitoring and debugging * Good understanding of cloud-specific development (either with AWS, Azure, or IBM Cloud) * Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines * Good knowledge of Agile/Scrum ceremonies **Preferred technical and professional experience** * Good knowledge in front-end development patterns and the following technologies: HTML, CSS, Javascript, TypeScript, React, Angular * Knowledge of Finance/Asset Management would be a bonus * Good communicator in English (French would be a bonus) IBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
