Our culture of growth and empathy focuses on your long-term career development while valuing your unique skills and experiences. **Your role and responsibilities** Your primary responsibilities will include: • Develop Application Solutions: Design, develop, test, and implement application solutions on designated Mainframe and Mid-Range platforms, ensuring alignment with business requirements and technical specifications. • Support Platform Applications: Provide technical support for applications running on Mainframe and Mid-Range platforms, troubleshooting issues, and resolving problems in a timely and efficient manner. • Apply Technical Expertise: Utilize knowledge of programming languages, such as Microfocus COBOL, to develop and maintain applications, and apply technical expertise to resolve complex technical issues. • Collaborate with Teams: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, and deliver high-quality solutions that meet business needs. • Maintain Technical Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies related to Mainframe and Mid-Range platforms, and apply this knowledge to improve application development and support processes. **Required technical and professional expertise** • Mainframe Platform Development: Exposure to application development and support on Mainframe platforms such as VM or TPF, with ability to design, develop, test, and implement application solutions. • Mid-Range Platform Expertise: Experience working with Mid-Range platforms like Microfocus COBOL, Tandem, or HP-3000, with knowledge of programming languages and ability to troubleshoot issues. • Technical Troubleshooting: Exposure to resolving complex technical issues on Mainframe and Mid-Range platforms, utilizing technical expertise to identify and resolve problems efficiently. • Programming Language Skills: Experience working with programming languages such as Microfocus COBOL, with ability to develop and maintain applications on designated platforms. • Cross-Platform Support: Exposure to providing technical support for applications running on multiple Mainframe and Mid-Range platforms, with ability to prioritize and deliver high-quality solutions. **Preferred technical and professional experience** • Mainframe Platform Development: Exposure to application development and support on additional Mainframe platforms such as TPF or VM is beneficial. Knowledge of these platforms can aid in designing, developing, testing, and implementing application solutions. Familiarity with these platforms can also enhance technical troubleshooting skills. • Mid-Range Platform Expertise: Experience working with other Mid-Range platforms like Tandem or HP-3000 is advantageous. Understanding programming languages and ability to troubleshoot issues on these platforms can improve overall technical expertise.
