Your ability to accelerate impact and make meaningful change for your clients is enabled by our strategic partner ecosystem and our robust technology platforms across the IBM portfolio. **Your role and responsibilities** Aurora PostgreSQL Administration * Expertise in designing and deploying highly available and scalable Aurora PostgreSQL clusters; * Ensuring database security across all layers: network, data, and authentication & authorization; * Effective use of Aurora features such as: * Global Database; * Serverless; * Cloning; * Cache management. Monitoring and Performance * Monitoring using CloudWatch (metrics, events, logs); * Query performance tuning using tools like Performance Insights. Database Administration Tasks * Configuration of parameter groups; * Management of IP traffic via security groups; * Auditing of database log files; * Execution of maintenance and management activities; * Planning and implementation of backup and recovery strategies; * User management and access control. **Required technical and professional expertise** Technical Skills: • Expertise in Design & deploy highly available, and scalable Aurora PostgreSQL clusters • Ensure security of your DB cluster from all perspectives (Network, Data, A&A) • Effectively use the Aurora features such as Global Database, Serverless, Cloning, Cache management etc. • Carry out monitoring using CloudWatch metrics, Events, Logs • Query performance tuning using tools such as Performance Insights Some of the other administrative tasks that the DBA must carry out include: • Configuring the parameter group • Managing IP traffic using a security group • Auditing the database log files • Maintenance and management activities • Planning backup and recovery strategies • User management **Preferred technical and professional experience** Nice to have skills: • Basic knowledge on Amazon Auroa MYSQL • Basic knowledge on Azure MySQL IBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
