**Introduction** As an Application Consultant specializing in Red Hat Cloud Migration, you will be responsible for leading and executing the migration of enterprise applications and workloads to Red Hat OpenShift environments on hybrid cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure. You will also support the deployment and administration of IBM Cloud Pak for Integration as part of enterprise modernization and integration efforts. You will work closely with client technical teams and architects to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available OpenShift clusters, ensuring smooth application transitions and operational stability post-migration. **Your role and responsibilities** A career in IBM Consulting is rooted by long-term relationships and close collaboration with clients across the globe. Your ability to accelerate impact and make meaningful change for your clients is enabled by our strategic partner ecosystem and our robust technology platforms across the IBM portfolio. **Required technical and professional expertise** * Plan, configure, and administer Red Hat OpenShift environments (on-premises and cloud-based). * Execute application and workload migrations to OpenShift on Azure. * Deploy, manage, and support IBM Cloud Pak for Integration and related integration patterns. * Collaborate with developers and DevOps teams to enable cloud-native capabilities. * Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize containerized environments. * Ensure system security, compliance, and high availability. * Document solutions, operational procedures, and best practices. * 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration and enterprise system support. * Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift (including deployment and troubleshooting). * Practical experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform services. * Experience working with IBM Cloud Pak for Integration, including installation, configuration, and integration flows. * Solid understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, and container lifecycle management. * Experience in automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, or similar). * Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes. * Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. * Provide knowledge transfer and technical guidance to client teams. **Preferred technical and professional experience** * Familiarity with Cloud Pak for Integration * Experience with enterprise integration platforms and messaging (Kafka, MQ, API Connect, etc.). * Red Hat Certified Specialist (RHCSA/RHCE/OpenShift). * Azure Administrator or Architect certification. * Experience in hybrid or multi-cloud architectures. * Prior consulting or customer-facing experience. Additional Information: * Must be flexible to work across global client time zones. * Willingness to work on shifts as required for project timelines or go-lives. * Strong documentation and collaboration skills are essential.
