Your ability to accelerate impact and make meaningful change for your clients is enabled by our strategic partner ecosystem and our robust technology platforms across the IBM portfolio **Your role and responsibilities** * High-Level Product Development: Draft high-level product specifications and translate them into code, ensuring attention to system integrity, feasibility, quality, security, maintainability, and modularity. * Technology Advocacy: * Champion the use of appropriate technologies and define streamlined workflows to adhere to coding standards, ensuring efficient and effective development processes. * Collaborative Problem-Solving: * Collaborate with teams globally to address production escalations, working closely with the reliability team to achieve timely resolutions for customer issues. * Peer Review and Collaboration: Actively participate in peer review discussions encompassing requirements, specifications, designs, code, and other artifacts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. **Required technical and professional expertise** * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. * Minimum of 8 years of experience in a role involving network design, implementation, and administration, with at least 5 years specifically focused on Edge and/or Network Cloud technologies. * Proven experience in application consulting, ideally within a large enterprise setting. * Deep understanding of cloud computing principles, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models. * Extensive knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/2, etc.), routing, switching, VPN, Firewalls, Load balancing, and SD-WAN **Preferred technical and professional experience** * Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes. * Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Cisco Certified Network Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect). * Familiarity with IBM's Edge and Network Cloud offerings IBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
