We are currently seeking a App Dev Manager - Mainframe to join our team in Bengaluru, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).
Team Leadership & Management
• Lead and mentor a team of mainframe developers and support engineers.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and development plans.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
• Manage resource allocation and ensure adequate coverage for support and development tasks.
Project & Delivery Management
• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of mainframe development projects.
• Ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, business analysts, and QA teams to align deliverables.
• Track and report project progress to senior management and stakeholders.
Technical Oversight
• Provide guidance on mainframe technologies such as COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, IMS, etc.
• Review and approve technical designs and code for quality and compliance.
• Ensure best practices in coding, testing, and deployment are followed.
• Stay updated with legacy system modernization trends and tools.
Support & Incident Management
• Oversee L2/L3 support for mainframe applications, ensuring timely resolution of incidents.
• Implement and monitor SLAs and KPIs for support activities.
• Conduct root cause analysis and drive permanent fixes for recurring issues.
• Coordinate with infrastructure and operations teams for system maintenance and upgrades.
Stakeholder Communication
• Act as the primary point of contact for business units relying on mainframe systems.
• Translate business requirements into technical deliverables.
Preferences:
Required schedule availability for this position is Monday-Friday (12:00 PM to 10:00pm IST). The shift timings can be changed as per client requirements. Additionally, resources may have to do overtime and work on weekend’s basis business requirement.
