Overview The APEX Director will be directly responsible for the growth of APEX in Belgium, overseeing the strategic development and execution of our proposition across a range of channels. You must have an entrepreneurial approach and the ability to build and manage a business unit, including a team of 2-3 people in 2025. You will be responsible for developing and delivering a commercial & solution strategy for the Belgian market. To do this you will work closely with our Client Leads/Media Planning Directors to understand the business and media objectives of their clients and subsequently evolve and advance our product portfolio to support those objectives. You must also have a good understanding of the Belgian media marketplace, and a strong network of connections with key media partners across a variety of channels. You negotiate rates and placements with media vendors to maximize value for clients, achieving favorable ad placements and cost-efficiency. As Director you will work closely with the APEX Regional team, and your peers across the region, to share learnings, best practice, and support on global initiatives, with a particular focus on maintaining consistency in our approach to product frameworks and our relationship with global clients. You must be a self-starter, and very goal orientated. This is an opportunity to start up and to lead the growth of APEX Exchange in Belgium, furthering our position as a core solution within Publicis Groupe’s strategic approach. The Apex Director is an active member of PMX (Publicis Media Exchange) and reports directly to the Head of PMX. Responsibilities This is our bucket list, but we will not be disappointed if we cannot tick all the boxes in the end. All our experts have different backgrounds, which help them shape their day-to-day, that will not be any different in your case. • Build and deliver with the support of the Head of PMX an annual business plan for APEX in Belgium, with a strategic approach to satisfying/exceeding the market revenue objective. • Educate Agencies and Clients, both new and existing, on the APEX value proposition • Support and/or coordinate the engagement strategy for key Groupe clients and key local clients. • Deep understanding of yield and margin management through complex vendor deal structures • Ensure all APEX activity meets client compliance requirements throughout the transaction processes, supporting on audits where necessary. • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of reporting requirements to regional and global teams, with particular focus on owning and maintaining the Global Tracker template for your market. • Support new business initiatives working alongside Commercial teams in identifying opportunity and risk. Qualifications You show a proven track record of top performance measured against business growth, revenue, and other variables. You have 5+ years of experience within an agency or media company You navigate complex client needs as well as internal agency dynamics. You have in-depth knowledge of media channels, including digital, television, radio, print, and outdoor. This includes understanding pricing models, audience metrics, and media planning tools. You are proficient in analyzing market trends, audience insights, and performance data to inform buying decisions and optimize campaigns. You are skilled in managing advertising budgets effectively, ensuring that spendings align with strategic goals and maximizes return on investment. You can build and maintain strong relationships with media vendors, clients and internal stakeholders.
