Treasury is a part of the Expert Advisory team which includes the expertise areas of treasury, tax, legal and accounting. These disciplines are closely working together to support the business with integrated expertise and advice.

You will be responsible for the overall APAC Treasury of ASML’s business in Korea and support other APAC countries, that include China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, India. You will be an integral part of the global corporate treasury team, with members located in the Netherlands, Korea, China and the US as well as the broader Expert Advisory team. You will report to the Local Treasury Manager.

Role and responsibilities

The APAC Treasury Specialist is responsible for:

-Lead daily in-house cash monitoring and analysis, intercompany financing/capital structure monitoring (thin cap and delineation review) and provide support to regional Treasury Managers on action items for APAC countries.Close collaboration with Senior Treasury Specialist (HQ ICY financing team) and Tax department to ensure sufficient liquidity for the ASML Group’s APAC subsidiaries to operate their business and support strategic growth projects and to ensure that their capital structure is in accordance with ASML’s policies and local Treasury and Tax laws & regulation and transfer pricing principles.Implement the intercompany (IC) policies for the APAC entities. Support regional Treasury Managers, and educate and lead stakeholders (Expert Advisory Team(EA), Finance, Shared team) to ensure proper execution of the intercompany (IC) policies.Provide integrated Treasury (compliance) expertise, advice and requirements in EA projects, larger-scale Finance projects and Strategic Business initiatives in close alignment with the Treasury subject matter experts to ensure that the Treasury requirements are addressed and proposals are embedded in Treasury processes; coordinate proposals submitted by Treasury to ensure cross functional alignment and execution. Represent Treasury in project core team meetings.Provide supporting roles on short-term cash forecasting, daily liquidity management, investment and FX management for all APAC countries.Together with EA Triage team members to allocate resources to EA Triage projects and make decisions to optimize the EA Triage process.Assist in the periodic reviewing of policies in Treasury (focus on Korea and other APAC countries), in consultation with the owner of the policy, ensuring that the policy meets the internal requirements and standards.Business partnering with other Finance functions, sectors and business lines in close collaboration with other expertise functions.Maintain relationships with external partners (including banks, external counsel and advisors) and with internal partners (Finance, Legal, Tax, Customs, Accounting, etc).Support on Korea Treasury administrative works

Education and experience

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field with strong analytical and problem solving ability.Excellent in both Korean and English; verbally and in writing. Other APAC languages (especially Chinese) would be considered as an asset.10 years’ experience in Finance/Treasury in large globally operating companies with demonstrated Treasury achievementsIn depth knowledge of Treasury and Treasury technological solutionsIn depth knowledge of E2E processes related to TreasuryExtensive knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to the industry and ASML, its products and markets, clients and processes on all relevant aspects of TreasuryGood knowledge of relevant accounting, legal and tax aspects and overlapping areas with TreasuryGood knowledge of ASML business model, tax model and IC flows

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
