Chemours is seeking an **APAC** **Entity Accounting & Reporting Team (EA&RT) Leader** to join our growing Finance team. This position will be available at the Asturias (Spain) site and report directly to the Global Entity Accounting & Reporting Team Supervisor.
The APAC EA&RT Leader will oversee the full accounting cycle and ensure accurate maintenance of general ledgers in compliance with GAAP and internal policies. They will provide financial reporting and accounting guidance to support strategic business decisions across departments.
The APAC EA&RT Leader will analyze and interpret complex transactions, prepare financial statements, and advise management on key insights. They will ensure that internal controls are in place and functioning effectively, in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements. Additionally, they will identify and resolve accounting issues and may lead cross-functional initiatives to improve financial processes and operational efficiency.
**The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:**
+ Oversee accounting operations for designated legal entities within the region
+ Lead and manage a regional team of EA&RT Accountants, ensuring consistent and efficient execution
+ Coordinate daily accounting activities to promote operational alignment across the region
+ Define performance objectives and metrics, fostering a culture of accountability and growth
+ Collaborate with the Global EA&RT Supervisor to implement tailored development plans
+ Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings for assigned entities
+ Monitor statutory reporting progress via the Statutory Dashboard and ensure timely execution
+ Act as the first point of escalation for operational issues, liaising with internal and external stakeholders
+ Support transitions of suitable activities to BPO to enhance team efficiency and work-life balance
+ Contribute to strategic initiatives that strengthen accounting capabilities across the EA&RT team
**The following is** **_required_** **for this role:**
+ Degree in Finance or Accounting, chartered accountant (or equivalent)
+ 5+ years’ work experience in accounting, in an international / multicultural environment
+ English proficiency
+ Computer Proficiency including SAP & SAP4H, MS Office (especially Excel)
+ Demonstrates adaptability to change, quick learning ability, and strong process-oriented thinking
+ Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence others and work independently with a proactive mindset
