Southland Holdings is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for our office in Grapevine, 100% ONSITE.

DUTIES:

Processing an average of 500+ invoices a weekReview all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to paymentPrioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment termsProcess checks requestsAudit and process credit card billsMatch invoices to checks, obtain all signatures for checks and distribute checks accordinglyRespond to all vendor inquiriesReconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepanciesAssist in month end closingMaintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practicesAssist with other projects as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

3+ years of Accounts Payable experienceMust have Sage 300 experienceMust be comfortable working on-site (No Remote work)Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional mannerAbility to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timelinessMust be well organized and a self-starterDetail oriented, professional attitude, reliablePossess strong organizational and time management skillsStrong problem-solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skillsAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Construction Accounts Payable experienceMUST HAVE SAGE 300 Experience High school diploma required, college courses in accounting (preferred)Experience working with Sage 300/TimberScan
