If you have a passion for modernizing armed forces through Multidomain Combat Cloud solutions, DLBO, GMN, and advanced data-driven capabilities such as situational awareness and operational picture analysis, this is your opportunity to make a strategic impact. **Your role and responsibilities** As an Associate Partner, you will play a leading role in: * Driving business development in the public sector, with a focus on the German Armed Forces and their digital transformation roadmap. * Acting as a strategic advisor to the Bundeswehr and the defence industry, identifying opportunities and translating military requirements into scalable and compliant technical solutions. * Leading the design and delivery of complex cloud-based architectures tailored for multidomain operations, including DLBO, GMN, and data-centric decision-making environments. * Applying advanced data analysis and evaluation capabilities to support operational situational awareness, command-and-control systems, and dynamic operational picture generation (Lagebearbeitung). * Developing and managing C-level relationships within BWI, BAAINBw, and other key procurement and operational entities. * Leading large-scale proposal and bid efforts, including shaping, writing, and negotiating high-value contracts exceeding €25M+. * Collaborating closely with internal teams across IBM (technical, legal, security, and delivery) and external partners to co-create client-centric, compliant, and secure digital solutions. **Required technical and professional expertise** Required Technical and Professional Expertise * Proven track record (10+ years) in consulting, defence, or technology strategy, with direct experience in the German Armed Forces or related agencies. * Deep understanding of Bundeswehr structures, procurement processes, and digital modernization programs (DLBO, GMN, etc.). * Demonstrated experience in data analytics, information fusion, or situational awareness systems within defence or security-related environments. * Strong engineering or IT background (Master’s preferred), with the ability to architect and discuss technical solutions at eye level with military and industry stakeholders. * A solid network within the German defence sector (Bundeswehr, BWI, defence primes). * Experience in preparing and managing complex public tenders and defence proposals. * Excellent communication skills in both German and English (C1+ level required). * Strategic mindset with the ability to operate independently and lead interdisciplinary teams. * German citizen **Preferred technical and professional experience** Preferred Expertise * Prior experience working at or with IBM, including internal processes for deal shaping, bid management, and compliance. * Experience in scaling defence-related accounts from opportunity identification to long-term transformation programs. * Familiarity with NATO standards, certification frameworks, and multinational cooperation in the defence domain IBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
