Description Charlie Gilmur with Robert Half is looking for an AP/AR Clerk to join our team in Troutdale, Oregon. In this role, you will oversee the accurate processing of accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring financial records are maintained with precision and efficiency. This position is integral to supporting the accounting department and fostering strong relationships with vendors, customers, and internal teams. Responsibilities: • Process vendor invoices and ensure accuracy by verifying pricing, quantities, and approvals. • Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents for seamless accounting. • Prepare and execute timely payments, including checks and electronic transfers. • Reconcile vendor statements and address discrepancies promptly. • Maintain organized records and assist with month-end accounts payable accruals. • Apply customer payments to accounts and monitor aging reports for overdue balances. • Conduct thorough and courteous follow-ups on collections to resolve outstanding amounts. • Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting. • Communicate effectively with vendors, customers, and internal teams to address inquiries. • Ensure all financial documentation is properly maintained and organized for auditing purposes. Job Order: 03600-0013369372 Requirements • High school diploma required; associate’s degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred. • Previous experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting. • Proficiency with accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar software. • Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles, including debits and credits. • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interactions. • Familiarity with service-based or construction-related industries is a plus.
