Our dynamic team is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable (AP) Accountant to join us in an onsite role in Hayward. Position Summary As an Accounts Payable Accountant, you will manage and oversee the company’s payables and ensure all accounting processes are compliant with corporate policies and regulations. You will play a critical role in supporting our financial operations and ensuring vendor payments are accurate and timely. This role is ideal for a highly organized professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities, and possesses excellent communication skills. Key Responsibilities + Accounts Payable Process Management: Process vendor invoices in a timely and accurate manner, including coding, matching, and data entry. + Payment Execution: Prepare checks, ACH payments, wire transfers, and resolve payment discrepancies promptly. + Vendor Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and vendors, ensuring proper record management and responding to inquiries regarding payment statuses. + Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of vendor accounts, credit card statements, and AP ledger to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies. + Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including proper handling of sensitive financial data. + Reporting: Assist with generating reports on expense trends, AP aging, cash flow forecasts, and other financial metrics required by management. + Support Month-End Close: Collaborate with other teams to support month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and accruals related to AP. + Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance AP procedures for greater efficiency and accuracy. Requirements + Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred). + Experience: Minimum 3 years of proven experience in accounts payable or general accounting functions, inventory experience strongly preferred + Technical Skills: Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite or similar ERP system) and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. + Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines under pressure. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster cross-functional collaboration. + Onsite Availability: Must be able to work full-time onsite at Hayward.
