About the Role
As a member of the Accounts Payable team, you will support daily financial operations by processing invoices, ensuring tax compliance, and working with global teams across Harman businesses. This role involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure smooth and accurate processing of payments. In this role, you will report to the line manager and work under the guidance of senior team members.
What You Will Do
Process direct, indirect, and prepayment invoicesEnsure correct tax codes (TDS/GST/VAT/SUT) during accountingCollaborate with internal teams and resolve invoice issuesCommunicate with vendors and manage payment inquiriesSupport urgent payments, balance confirmations, and month-end closingEnsure compliance with Harman policies and audit standardsWhat You Need to Be Successful
Ability to follow written instructions and guidance from senior team membersUnderstanding of tax codes (TDS / GST / VAT / SUT) as applicable during accountingCapability to work collaboratively with internal departments and global teamsAttention to detail for accurate processing and reconciliationEffective communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal stakeholdersBonus Points if You Have
Experience in working with automated ERS postings and making correctionsFamiliarity with cross-border payment documentation and customs slipsBackground in supporting audit processes and compliance standardsExposure to accounts payable functions in a multinational or shared services environmentPrior experience in handling urgent or exception-based paymentsWhat We Offer
