The Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining AOI equipment to inspect circuit boards for defects, ensuring high-quality SMT component placement and solder joints.

Responsibilities:

Examine circuit boards to detect any shorts, excess or missing solder, scratches, cracks and placement of components or other defects.SMT component visual and automated inspection as neededPerform regular machine maintenance and calibrationConduct quality control screenings and part identificationVerify conformance and maintain adherence to internal quality standards by approving materials at in-process inspection for all products to specified dimensionsAssist in training new personnel on the operation of automated inspection equipment.Technical machine operation

Working hours:

3:00 PM - 11:30 PM

Required Qualifications:

High School diploma or GEDPrevious experience inspecting SMT on the surface of PCB and working in an electronics assembly environmentSoldering experienceAbility to read, understand and interpret written and/or verbal instructionsStrong communication skillsAbility to multitask the changing daily prioritiesMust be mechanically minded with excellent computer skills

Preferred  Skills:

AOI machine experience3 years of related experience working in fast paced environmentFamiliar with IPC-A-610 standards

Education:

High School or GEDTechnical Training Preferred

Experience:

1-3 years
