Job Title: ANZ Masterdata Manager

Reports to: Director Operations, ANZ

Position Location: Scoresby, Victoria, Australia

Number of Reports: 8-10

Position Summary:

This role will lead the Thermo Fisher Scientific's Australian and New Zealand end-to-end Master data governance & management, ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of critical data across the organization, acting as a single source of truth. They develop and implement data management strategies, develop & implement data governance policies, and collaborate with regional & local partners to meet data requirements.

They lead the master data management of across all types of master data including yet not limited to Product, Customer, Financial, Pricing, Planning and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

This role will be accountable for all Master Data Management (MDM) strategy, governance, and operations. This includes the initiation and development of improvements and providing training and support to optimize efficiency and effectiveness of the regional function.

Accountable for the strategy and approach toward managing MDM for all products, ensuring system compliance to business and legal requirementsHarmonize MDM ways of working across countries & functions to allow for the implementation and use of common streamlined processes; ultimately aligning globallyBusiness process owner to ensure optimal governance and sustenance of MDMProvide leadership and support for MDM aspects of creation and maintenance of dataLead with expertise to ensure end-to-end business process consistencyLead end user support systems and enable team members to provide and deliver end-user trainingDevelop and facilitate continuous improvement in MDM processesManage key collaborators in bringing together the business needs/requirements and lead change and implementationLead with expertise all MDM integration efforts for strategic projects, mergers, and acquisitionsFacilitate discussions for strategic MDM initiatives

Key areas of responsibility include:

Data Governance:

Defining and enforcing policies and procedures for managing data assets, including data quality, data stewardship, and data security.

Data Accuracy and Consistency:

Maintaining accurate, consistent, and up-to-date master data within systems like ERP (Master-Pack, E1, SAP, etc).

Data Quality:

Implementing data improvement strategies, supervising and analyzing data systems, and identifying and addressing data-related issues.

Collaboration:

Working with different departments and collaborators to understand and meet their data needs.

Data Management Strategies:

Developing and implementing data management strategies to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.

Process Improvement:

Optimizing data workflows and providing guidance on data management practices.

Training:

Providing training to teams on data management processes and standard methodologies.

Staying Informed:

Keeping up-to-date with industry developments and technology advancements in data management.

Team Leadership:

People Leader of a large team with a strong bias for action & outcomes, and key ability to build a commitment & performance culture, trusting and learning environment.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Industrial Engineering, or related field is preferred7+ years of experience in data management, data governance, or related fields.Knowledge: Familiarity with data governance principles, data quality management, and data maintenance processes.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Proficiency in relevant data management tools and technologies.Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams.Demonstrated track record in shifting business performance from a low to a high sustainable performance, in tough circumstancesPPI, Lean and/or Six Sigma working experience with demonstrated achievement of continuous improvement through utilization of Lean toolsExperience in leading teams of individual contributors, with a track record of attracting and developing talent, developing bench strengths and managing a complex, diverse and dispersed workforce
