Job Title: Antenna Engineer
Job Description

As an Antenna Engineer, you will play a vital role in accelerating the development of novel antenna technologies that are at the core of next-generation Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite communications. You will be responsible for conducting research, simulation, design, optimization, testing, and calibration to facilitate the rapid deployment of these technologies within an operational satellite constellation.

ResponsibilitiesConduct research and simulation to develop novel antenna technologies.Design and optimize antenna systems for LEO satellite communications.Test and calibrate antenna technologies for deployment in satellite constellations.Lead the rapid deployment of antenna technologies in operational environments.Essential SkillsProficiency in simulation tools, particularly ANSYS HFSS, with openness to CST.Experience in designing electronically scanned antennas is highly preferred.Strong understanding of electromagnetics and optics in microwave systems.At least 5 years of experience with a Bachelor’s, or a Master’s degree in an engineering discipline with an emphasis on electromagnetic theory and/or microwave circuits.Experience in designing patches, horns, or similar compact antennas.Expertise in electromagnetic simulation tools such as HFSS, CST, or FEKO.Skillful application of system simulation tools like Python or MATLAB.Familiarity with range testing and ability to operate relevant test equipment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience developing reflectarray or transmitarray antennas.Experience designing antennas for PCB manufacturability.Broader experience with RF/microwave systems, particularly between 10.7 GHz and 51.4 GHz.Experience with passive RF component characterization.Experience with near field antenna range testing.Experience with advanced beamforming methods.Experience using automation for exploratory RF design analysis.Experience with space-qualified systems.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $240000.00/yr.
