OPPORTUNITY SUMMARY:
As the Maintenance Planner, you will be responsible for providing superior maintenance and administrative planning services to internal and external customers, especially for our maintenance technical personnel assigned to the operational areas in the mill. In this role, you will execute critical planning, assist in scheduling, coordinating, and reporting of repair activities to ensure operational effectiveness.
HOW YOU WILL IMPACT SMURFIT WESTROCK
Maintain backlog of work orders and move work orders to the ready-to-schedule phase, and review technician feedback upon work completionTrack the progress of work order flow through the work order system by performing plant and/or maintenance department reviewsPlan all maintenance work activities associated with maintenance work orders and record technician troubleshooting feedback in JD EdwardsAssist in initial screening of incoming work orders, identify scope of the work orders and analyze required level of planningCoordinate outage planning activities such as scope identification and control, scheduling, risk assessments, execution and continuous improvement initiatives Partner with Validators to ensure that plans and schedules are aligned based on the equipment available to support the millIncorporate safety requirements for all work orders and jobs to support and drive safe work behaviorsOversee the end-to-end planning and execution of work orders and resolve any work order issues Maintain real-time equipment bill of materials in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), including parts that have changed and update new equipment dataComply with Safety, Environmental and other technical codes and regulationsProvide leadership and coaching in safety, training, and work allocation to uphold the standards of maximum safety for all maintenance technicians
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
Associate’s degree with 1 to 2 years manufacturing maintenance experience or Journeyman level technician with 3 to 5 years manufacturing maintenance experienceKnowledge of Pulping & Paper Making Processes and Equipment preferred Demonstrated successful track record of effective problem-solvingDrives for continuous improvement while managing expectations and resultsPossess advanced computer skills working with Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, WordAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsAbility to write routine reports and correspondenceAbility to maintain complex records and to assemble and organize dataPossess strong mechanical acumen Possess strong collaboration skills with stakeholders across functionsAbility to set priorities, achieve deadlines, and manage multiple tasks at the same timeDemonstrate strong organizational and time management skillsPossess strong written and verbal communication skills to deliver messages to customers and Smurfit Westrock employees Candidates are required to undergo a drug screening after receiving a conditional job offer, but before starting employment.
