Responsibilities
+ Deliver hands-on training in rodent husbandry and technical procedures (e.g., injections, blood collection, euthanasia)
+ Develop and maintain training materials, SOPs, and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
+ Coordinate training schedules and requests across departments to support onboarding and upskilling
+ Observe and evaluate trainee performance, providing feedback and retraining as needed
+ Maintain accurate and audit-ready training records and certifications
+ Support animal care operations when needed, ensuring high standards of welfare and compliance
+ Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols in all facility environments
Requirements
+ Bachelor of Science or Associate degree, Veterinary Technology
+ Minimum 3 years of animal care or handling experience
+ AALAS from the Laboratory Animal Technologist level (LATG), required, proficiency in rodent handling, bio methodology, and restraint techniques, anesthesia, euthanasia, injections, and blood collection
+ Strong documentation and report-writing skills
+ Knowledge of PPE protocols and barrier/containment facility practices
+ Ability to work independently and support staff in training environments; strong computer skills, including spreadsheets and data collection systems
