This includes feeding, cleaning, monitoring animal health, and keeping records. You’ll also clean and maintain cages, rooms, and equipment, and ensure all work follows safety and animal care regulations.** **Key Responsibilities:** + Feed, water, and care for lab animals. + Clean cages, equipment, and animal rooms. + Monitor animal health and report any concerns. + Handle and restrain animals safely. + Follow instructions from veterinarians and supervisors. + Keep accurate records of tasks and animal care. + Wear and use personal protective equipment (PPE). + Work weekends and holidays as scheduled. **Requirements:** + High school diploma or equivalent. + At least 2 years of experience in animal care or veterinary work. + Comfortable working with animals of all sizes. + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks. + Good communication and teamwork skills. + No animal allergies. + Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook). + AALAS certification is a plus. **_This job description is a complete list of all desired skills, but not all are required.
