About the Role:

As an Animal Care Technician, you’ll provide daily care for lab animals, ensuring their health and well-being. You’ll work in a fast-paced, supportive team environment where compassion and learning are valued.

What You’ll Do:

Feed, clean, and care for small and large animals.

Provide enrichment and monitor animal welfare.

Learn proper handling and restraint techniques.

Follow AAALAC standards for animal care.

Pay & Schedule:

Pay Range: $18.00/hr.-$19.00/hr. (plus 5% shift differential) 

Training: Scheduled from 6:30 AM to 3:15 PM CST for the first 4 to 6 weeks.

Standard Work Schedule: Full-time daytime hours between 6:30 AM to 3:15 PM. Once fully trained, you may request a flexible start time between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM, subject to manager approval and business needs.

Required Experience and Education:

Education not required.

No experience required.

Must be 18 years or older.

Must be able to speak, write, read English.

Preferred Qualifications:

Work History: Demonstrated ability to maintain a structured and dependable work record, with 6 months to 1 year of consistent professional experience preferred.

Communication Skills: Demonstrated professional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with team members, researchers, and supervisors.
