**Animal Care Attendant, Referral Services** **Location: Scarborough, ON** **Toronto Veterinary Emergency Hospital** is a busy emergency and referral hospital that is currently looking for **Animal Care Attendants** to join our Referral Hospital. These **full-time** opportunities include a range of responsibilities that directly attributes to the efficient and effective daily operations of the hospital. **Duties include:** + Assist Doctors and RVTs with appointments & procedures, including surgery + Patient care: walking, feeding, and assisting the RVTs with restraint for procedures (including IV catheter placement, radiographs and surgical procedures) + Excellent customer service skills; a positive attitude and the ability for putting pets and pet parents at ease + General housekeeping duties; pet holding areas, surgical suites/treatment areas, and common areas + Willingness to learn and take on additional duties as needed + Flexibility to work in various hospital departments as required + Ability to remain calm in stressful situations + Ability to maintain our high standard of care for patients + Ability to prioritize and having a team focus + Animal handling experience **What VCA Canada Offers** Join our team and you will make a huge difference in the lives of pets and their families!
