Summary: Seeking an Animal Care Assistant I to provide care for preclinical animals including swine, canine, and ovine.
High school diploma or GED required
Comfortable working with animals; animal background preferred
Industry experience is a plus
Responsibilities:
Maintain animal health and husbandry daily
Follow SOPs and observe safety practices
Clean animal housing areas and disinfect weekly
Provide enrichment activities such as exercise, toys, and social housing
Feed animals according to department SOPs
Communicate health status issues to Veterinary Staff immediately
Document activities using Good Documentation Practices
Assist Veterinary Technicians and Veterinarians as needed
Pay Details: $18.00 to $21.00 per hour
