Responsibilities

The Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine in the Mayo Clinic Health System is seeking Anesthesiologists to join our practice. Mayo Clinic Health System links Mayo Clinic’s respected expertise in patient care, research, and education with Mayo’s community-focused multi-specialty groups in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa. Mayo Clinic Health System serves residents of 44 communities in Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.

The Mayo Clinic Health System is seeking an anesthesiologist to practice throughout our 3 Minnesota sites to provide care when there is a staffing need. We are dedicated to meeting the needs of our patients by inspiring hope and contributing to health and well-being by providing the best care to every patient through integrated clinical practice, education, and research. Our growing integrated health care system provides quality care backed by a team of highly trained specialists, close to home.

Full time equivalent is 4 days per week

Daytime coverage only, no call

Additional compensation for call coverage and extra shifts, if desired 

Anesthesiologist directed care-team model

Site coverage will be determined based on clinical need and include these 3 Minnesota locations: Austin, Mankato, and Red Wing

Surgical and procedural practice includes orthopedics, general surgery, urology, gynecologic surgery, healthy pediatrics, neurosurgery, obstetric coverage, cath lab, limited thoracic and vascular

Academic and teaching opportunities 

CRNAs on staff working in a medically directed practice

Anesthesiology residents, Student SRNAs, and other learners

License or Certification: Board Eligible/Board Certified in Anesthesiology and licensed or eligible for a medical license in Minnesota

Austin, MN: Austin is a community of 22,000, and is surrounded by prairies, rivers, and valleys just 90 minutes south of Minneapolis/St. Paul and 45 minutes west of Rochester. Excellent public and parochial education system. Great recreation options include trout fishing, hunting, cross-country skiing, camping, hiking, cycling, indoor/outdoor tennis, canoeing, and golfing. 

Mankato, MN: Mankato is one of the largest cities in southern MN and has earned several livability awards. Mankato's economic growth leads Minnesota and is among the top in the nation. The city has a contiguous population area of 96,740 and 1.6 million people live within 60 miles of Mankato. Greater Mankato is centrally located in south central Minnesota, nestled in the scenic beauty of the Minnesota River Valley, with convenient access to Minneapolis-St. Paul just one hour away.

Red Wing, MN: Red Wing is nestled among the bluffs, is less than an hour from the St. Paul/Minneapolis metro area. Red Wing is known for its beautiful scenery and extraordinary history. Compensation Detail

The minimum starting salary for hospital-based specialties may range from $211,250 to $533,750. This range reflects full-time total base compensation prior to consideration of additional experience or duties. Pay for the selected candidate will vary based on specialty, experience, FTE, internal equity, or external market data.
