Job Description:
Execute web scraping activities using internal tools to gather competitive intelligence and market data relevant to the Android ecosystem, under the guidance of the Business Analytics LeadSupport the Business Analytics Lead in guiding field teams on best practices for identifying, reporting, and leveraging competitive intelligence within the Android marketConduct focused competitive analysis, market research, and ad hoc analytics to provide specific insights into key competitors in the Android mobile and related technology space, as directed by the Business Analytics LeadAssist in survey generation and data consolidation efforts, utilizing Salesforce, MSFT Office Suite (PowerBI, Excel, Power Query), and SQL for efficient analysis, under the supervision of the Business Analytics LeadDevelop clear and concise data visualizations and dashboards to communicate key market trends, forecasts, and revenue analysis to stakeholders, as guided by the Business Analytics LeadCollaborate with the Business Analytics Lead to support field training departments in developing programs that highlight key market trends and empower teams with data-driven insightsConduct targeted online research on the presence, branding, and digital strategies of direct and indirect competitors within the program ecosystemSynthesize data from various sources (online research, field feedback, raw data, CRM) to contribute to holistic reports that inform strategic decision-making, as directed by the Business Analytics LeadSupport corporate research initiatives by providing data-driven insights and recommendations to internal teams for business development related to Android products and services, under the guidance of the Business Analytics LeadProactively monitor, track, and report on specific shifts in retailer strategies, emerging market trends, and competitor activities, as assigned by the Business Analytics LeadAnalyze key initiatives, product launches, marketing campaigns, and other relevant activities of competitors to gain a comprehensive understanding of their strategiesAssist the Business Analytics Lead in identifying potential leads for new business tools and solutions by providing supporting data and analysisUtilize advanced Excel skills (including Power Query) to automate reporting processes and perform complex data analysisApply SQL proficiency to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from databases for reporting and ad-hoc analysisTranslate complex data findings into clear, concise, and actionable insights for stakeholders at various levels, with guidance from the Business Analytics LeadContribute to forecasting efforts by leveraging historical data, market trends, and statistical modeling techniques, as directed by the Business Analytics LeadPerform revenue analysis to identify trends, growth opportunities, and areas for improvement, under the supervision of the Business Analytics LeadStay current on industry best practices and emerging trends in data analysis, market research, and competitive intelligence within the mobile technology sectorQualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field is requiredExperience: 1-3 years of proven experience in a business data analysis, strategy, research, or consulting roleAnalytical Skills: Solid problem-solving skills, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation. Experience in analyzing sales, product landscapes, consumer journeys, and market dynamics is a plus. Ability to identify insights and contribute to actionable recommendationsTechnical Skills: Essential: Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic macros, Power Query/Pivot), data visualization skills (Power BI, Tableau, or similar). Needed: Intermediate PowerPoint, basic SQL familiarity. Plus: Familiarity with Python/R and Salesforce is a bonusBusiness Acumen: Understanding of basic client goals and the ability to provide data-supported observations. A developing understanding of the client's business and industryCommunication & Presentation Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to conduct research and contribute to the creation of clear reports and presentationsPersonal Attributes: Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methods.
