In this role, you will:** + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business goals and translate them into scalable data solutions. + Design and implement robust data pipelines using Apache Airflow for orchestration and dbt for transformation , ensuring modularity, reusability, and maintainability. + Build scalable data models optimized for performance and usability in BigQuery and other GCP services. + Ensure data quality and reliability through automated testing frameworks, anomaly detection, and monitoring tools. + Implement data governance and security best practices + Document data architecture, lineage, and transformation logic using tools like dbt docs, Data Catalog, and Confluence. + Support data scientists and analysts by providing clean, well-modeled, and accessible datasets. + Continuously improve and experiment with new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance data engineering practices. **Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:** + Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. + Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a strong asset, though familiarity with any major cloud technologies such as Azure or GCP is considered sufficient. + Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience in data processing libraries such as pandas, PySpark, or Beam. + High-level knowledge of dbt and the modern data stack. + Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration. + Solid understanding of data warehouse architecture, dimensional modeling, and data lakehouse concepts. + Proven track record of implementing data quality frameworks and CI/CD pipelines for data workflows. + Experience in Banking, Finance, or Credit Cards is a strong asset. + Detail-oriented, pragmatic, and performance-driven.
