Analytics Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an Analytics Engineer who will be responsible for developing and optimizing AI and machine learning models for image understanding and analytics. This role involves implementing computer vision techniques for 3D data processing, conducting research and innovation in AI applications, integrating AI-based analytics into software solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams while providing mentorship and expertise.

How You’ll Make an Impact (key responsibilities of role)

AI & Machine Learning Development

Develop and optimize deep learning models for object detection, semantic segmentation, and classification. Apply machine learning algorithms to large-scale 2D/3D datasets for image understanding and analytics. Train, validate, and improve AI models using TensorFlow, PyTorch, Caffe, OpenCV, and PCL.

3D Data Processing & Computer Vision

Design and implement computer vision techniques for 3D reconstruction, photogrammetry, and point cloud analytics. Develop algorithms for geospatial data processing, projective geometry, and deep learning on 3D data. Optimize computational efficiency for handling large-scale 3D datasets.

Research & Innovation

Stay updated on the latest advancements in AI, computer vision, and machine learning. Participate in internal and publicly funded research projects to enhance AI-based analytics for linear infrastructures. Transfer academic research findings into real-world AI applications.

Software Development & Integration

Extend and integrate AI-based analytics into existing software solutions. Develop production-ready implementations using Python, C/C++, and Matlab in a Linux environment. Ensure scalability, performance, and reliability of deployed AI/ML models.

Collaboration & Mentorship

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and domain experts. Provide expertise in reviewing scientific literature and algorithm development.

What You Bring (required qualifications and skills)

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of research experience in deep learning, machine learning, or related areas, with a focus on developing and scaling innovative AI solutions. Strong programming skills in Python, C/C++, and Matlab. Proven experience in AI and machine learning, particularly in computer vision and 3D data processing. Familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch. Experience with large-scale data processing and optimization techniques. Knowledge of geospatial data processing and projective geometry. Strong communication skills and ability to mentor junior team members.
