Business Intelligence – Analytics Developer (I)
Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid)
· VBC Analytics is a single, independent team covering BSW Health and Quality Alliance (ACO) analytical needs. Domain verticals connect directly to core stakeholders and operational structures while aligning with internal SMEs and current capacities. We have over 1.2 million lives across multiple blocks of business and industry-leading analytics to support our organization.
· We are seeking a stakeholder-facing Analyst to join our dynamic team. As a crucial member of our analytics department, you will be responsible for transforming complex healthcare data into insightful and actionable visualizations. This role will operate in two capacities; to augment existing data products, as well as innovate new analytic experiences that simplify data into insights
· Responsibility includes a combination of
1. Run and support the end-to-end Measures integration process by securely sending data to third party, receiving and validating computed measure files for completeness, accuracy, and format, and monitoring and troubleshooting the ETL workflow in coordination with internal teams and external partners. (20%)
2. Leverage medical and pharmaceutical claims and Electronic Health Record (EHR) data with Snowflake SQL. (20%)
3. Support enterprise data governance initiatives by implementing data quality rules, validations, and monitoring in tools to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of analytical datasets. (15%)
4. Design architecture, model data and create BI dashboards and/or reporting solutions (15%)
5. Data Integration & Product Enhancement: Integrate diverse healthcare datasets using Power BI and the Microsoft Power Platform to deliver comprehensive insights while supporting and enhancing existing products through automation, enforcement of technical standards, and implementation of innovative solutions. (10%)
6. Handle ad hoc requests of analytical nature create measures, analyze trends, performance (10%)
7. Continue personal growth and development through weekly dedicated time (5%).
8. Miscellaneous team support duties (5%)

Primary Responsibilities:
· Design, develop, and maintain scalable data models, pipelines, and reporting solutions to support business intelligence and advanced analytics needs.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, data engineers, and product managers to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights.
· Optimize and write complex SQL queries for performance and scalability across large datasets, especially in Snowflake.
· Lead initiatives in cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP) for data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
· Build and maintain data solutions using Snowflake, including data loading, transformation, performance tuning, and role-based access control.
· Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security by enforcing governance and quality standards.
· Build and deploy AI-powered agents that automate analytics or reporting tasks; experience in chatbot development is a strong plus.
· Create and manage dashboards and visualizations in Power BI to support data-driven decision-making.
Required Qualifications:
· No single candidate will come in with all the desired qualifications. Above all else, we’re looking for someone with an eagerness and ability to learn new skills and solve dynamic problems in a collaborative environment.
· Bachelor’s degree computer science, Information Technology, Mathematics or STEM field.
· Proficiency in SQL-based languages (experience with Snowflake is desirable).
· Experience with ETL
- Experience with Medical Trends & Healthcare Knowledge.
· Experience with Microsoft SQL Server or other data warehouse tools showing comfortability and hands-on experience with large datasets.
· Experience with building Power BI (or similar) dashboard with rich Visuals
· Design analytical solutions on Snowflake cloud data warehouse using snow SQL.
· Solid communication skills with both technical and non-technical collaborators
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Medical Trends & Healthcare Knowledge.
· Experience in analytical methodologies and algorithms
· Any experience in AD group security or row level security or automation
· Scripting knowledge with R or Python
· Experience of delivering reporting solutions to end users with AI Agents.
· Solid foundation in SDLC methodologies – Agile and SCRUM
· Great experience in understanding the healthcare ecosystem – the relationship between payers and providers, how they work together, and how analytics enables strategic transformation and growth.
· Knowledge of Power Platforms like Power Automate, Power Apps
