Analytics Data Engineer Co-op

This is a full time Spring Co-op position Jan 2026, ending July 2026.

Position Summary: 

The selected intern will assist in supporting retention and patient satisfaction improvement initiatives via data engineering as part of the Fresenius Medical Care Home Therapy Analytics and AI Product Management team.  The role will report to the Senior Product Owner, Home Therapies Connected Health. The Co-op will work collaboratively with several cross-functional departments including Global Medical Office, Information Technology Solutions, Home Digital Value Stream, and other members of the Home Therapies Connected Health Product Management as part of this role. 

 

 

Responsibilities: 

Develop Data Catalog for 90-day Home HD and/or PD patient retention algorithm and customer success dashboard 

Assist in gathering and organizing the data sources (SAP, Salesforce, Custom DB applications) in a systematic manner to support the retention risk score modeling and customer success KPI reporting  

Assist with data pipeline development into Azure data platform from diverse on-prem and cloud data sources 

Support de-identification of the data in line with HIPAA statutes 

Developing data profile and data validation scripts to characterize incoming data and ensure data quality during ingestion 

Help with testing and validating the data pipeline including Data quality checks of incoming data 

Provide support for our Global Medical Office and Information Technology Solution team members 

 

 Education & Qualifications: 

Candidate for B.S in computer science or data science related field 

Proficiency with SQL and experience with ETL/ELT processes and tools  

Demonstrated ability to conduct self-driven research, and eagerness to learn new tools and methods quickly  

Experience with Java, Python, SQL, REST/SOAP APIs and related data pipeline development technology stack 

Experience with Azure, and other cloud platforms, at least familiarity is needed 

Experience with SalesForce.com, SAP, but not required 

Entry level knowledge of Dialysis industry helpful, but not required  

Awareness of FHIR will be a big plus
