**About this role:**
Wells Fargo is seeking an Analytics Consultant.
This role will be responsible for partnering across the Controller teams to ensure data analytic and small automation needs are met, including automation of processes for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness. This role will utilize Wells Fargo approved business intelligence tools to automate manual activities that are performed currently across the Controllers team. Additional expectations include working with business partners to understand and interpret their business requirements to deliver the appropriate solution to meet their needs.
**In this role, you will:**
+ Consult with business line and enterprise functions on less complex research
+ Use functional knowledge to assist in non-model quantitative tools that support strategic decision making
+ Perform analysis of findings and trends using statistical analysis and document process
+ Present recommendations to increase revenue, reduce expense, maximize operational efficiency, quality, and compliance
+ Identify and define business requirements and translate data and business needs into research and recommendations to improve efficiency
+ Participate in all group technology efforts including design and implementation of database structures, analytics software, storage, and processing
+ Develop customized reports and ad hoc analyses to make recommendations and provide guidance to less experienced staff
+ Understand compliance and risk management requirements for supported area
+ Ensure adherence to data management or data governance regulations and policies
+ Participate in company initiatives or processes to assist in meeting risk and capital objectives and other strategic goals
+ Collaborate and consult with more experienced consultants and with partners in technology and other business groups
**Required Qualifications:**
+ 2+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
**Desired** **Qualifications:**
+ **Analyze and Recommend** : Utilize your expertise in process automation, dashboarding, data analytics, and/or regulatory reporting to analyze business needs and provide recommendations for analytic solutions
+ **Ensure Quality** : Conduct effective testing, validation, and documentation of analytic solutions in line with standards and policies
+ **Collaborate** : Work with colleagues, internal partners, and management to address automation, analytic and reporting needs.
+ **Develop Solutions** : Create moderately complex analytic solutions using tools like SQL, Dremio, Alteryx, Power BI, Power Query, and Power Automate.
+ Identify and define business requirements and translate business needs into moderately complex research and recommendations to improve efficiency, deliver Analytics and value addition to business partners.
+ Provide guidance to less experienced associates
+ Ensure adherence to data management or data governance regulations and policies
+ Prepare project documentation in line with the organizational policies
+ Partner with technology or with other business groups
+ Work independently to analyze and solve complex operational, systems-related and/or data challenges.
+ Work with managers to apply business intelligence tools to business goals and analytical requirements, which may include: automating controls, reduction of end user computing tools, greater run-time efficiency, capacity planning.
+ Serve as a valuable resource to the other members of the team while promoting knowledge sharing and team collaboration.
+ Monitor and/or administers jobs to deliver expected outputs to Controllers Teams until transitioned to business as usual.
+ Manage projects requiring coordination, resource allocation, time management and consultation to other analysts on the team.
+ Assist with defining new job aides to run the scripts/automation tools that have been developed.
+ Adhere to Wells Fargo Controllers small automation standards as defined. Ensures adherence to data management/data governance regulations and policies.
**Job Expectations:**
+ Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
+ Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
+ Prior experience of working with US based organizations or clients is mandatory.
+ 4+ years of analytics experience to build and deliver dashboards, tools, quantitative analyses, and advanced modeling that diagnose root cause issues and translate data into actionable insights using SQL, Dremio, Power BI, Power Automate, DAX Expressions or Alteryx.
+ 4+ years of experience in building and supporting automation, databases, query tools, BI tools, and dashboards for analysis and data visualization using SQL, Dremio, Power BI, Power Query, and Power Automate.
+ 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: Data Analytics, Reporting, Automation, Transformation
+ 4+ years’ experience in SQL, PowerBI with PL-300 Certification
+ 3+ years’ experience in SSIS, SSMS
+ 3+ years’ experience in SQL Server / Oracle
+ 1-3 years’ experience in SharePoint development, Power Apps, Power Automate
+ 1-3 years’ experience in Alteryx
+ 1-3 years’ experience in creating end to end project documentation and peer reviewing documentation
+ Gather, analyze, transform and interpret data from various sources to meet business needs.
+ Excellent Microsoft Office skills
+ Ability to develop operational reporting and performing complex data analysis.
+ Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
+ Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability.
+ Experience in defining and interpreting business requirements
+ Knowledge and understanding of financial regulatory reporting systems, Enterprise Controls and legal entities.
+ Ability to work in changing priorities and deadlines both independently and within team environment.
+ Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem-solving techniques.
+ Strong interpersonal skills
+ Knowledge and understanding of corporate governance, financial and financial/statistical regulatory reporting systems and legal entities.
