Reckitt, formally Mead Johnson Nutrition, a major manufacturer or baby formula, is looking to add to their Analytical Lab team. 
**Located in Zeeland, MI and staffed through Manpower.

This is a 2nd shift position, working 4 - 10 hours shifts, 4pm to 2am.

Pay Rate: $26.25/hr

Position is responsible for independent real-time physical properties, analytical chemistry, and in-process testing to support release of finished products and in-process materials.  Follow established methods, utilize approved laboratory techniques, investigate nonconformities, and ensure accurate results are delivered in a timely manner.  Possess a working knowledge of group operations and laboratory information management systems.  Position is responsible for coordinating the testing of materials to meet release schedule.  Perform investigations and instrument/method optimization to support individual work assignments.  Ensure all laboratory records are maintained in compliance with good scientific and regulatory practices.  Organizational skills of laboratory space are a must.  Understand and support safe work practices and procedures.
Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in science or technical subject preferred. Physical properties laboratory testing and/or Organoleptic/Sensory testing experience strongly preferred.  Instrumentation experience with ICP-OES/ICP-MS, GC, NIR, and HPLC/UPLC/HPIC desired. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills desired. Quality Control experience within the food manufacturing environment is desired, broad understanding of powder infant formula product is a plus. Experience in an FDA regulated environment is preferred. Laboratory workspace skills and management needed. Applicant must have excellent communication to outside departments. Must possess good documentation practices (GLP’s) and good manufacturing practices (GMP’s) understanding. Strong computer skills (GLIMS, Optiva, SAP, MS Office, or equivalents) Candidate should have experience and knowledge of laboratory operations, calibration and maintenance of various lab equipment or similar types of equipment.
