The position of **Analytical Chemist II** is within our Toxicology business unit located in **Pomona, California** . This role performs qualitative and quantitative analyses of compounds in biological samples; conducts measurements of in-process and final product; conducts research to develop or improve analytical techniques, methodology, procedures, and investigates application of instruments in analysis. **What You’ll Work On** + Performs quantitative analytical testing using potentially complex methods, procedures and equipment. + Generate analysis reports. Provides quality control specifications to ensure process consistency, quality and optimal yield performance. + Perform the daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly maintenance of laboratory equipment and maintain maintenance logbooks. + LC-MS/MS and GC-MS operator. + Extraction chemist for multiple matrices. + Troubleshoot instruments and lab equipment. + Assist with quality control and quality assurance practices. + Assist with SOP updates and modifications. + Participate in proficiency testing. + Establish or revise procedures. + Provide training and development of newly hired personnel on all the different aspects of testing and laboratory maintenance. + Maintain a neat and organized workplace. Ensure materials are appropriately labeled, approved for use and in enough quantity to complete required tasks. + Works independently using discretion and best judgment while coordinating work efforts with other colleagues. + Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal/external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices. + Understands and is aware of the quality consequences which may occur from the improper performance of their specific job.
