Your impact
You will support Newmont’s financial integrity by leading complex technical accounting analyses, ensuring accurate disclosures, and guiding the adoption of new accounting standards. Your expertise will help resolve technical issues and strengthen compliance with U.S. GAAP and IFRS.
As part of our team, you will• Research and prepare technical accounting memos for significant transactions and new standards.
• Perform valuations of financial and non-financial instruments each quarter.
• Support adoption of new accounting standards and resolve complex technical issues.
• Prepare high-risk, complex financial statement disclosures in partnership with Investor Relations.
• Collaborate with auditors, actuaries, and accounting teams to ensure accurate reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA or advanced degree preferred.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS.
• Public accounting or technical accounting experience preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills; experience with SAP-BPC and Workiva a plus.
• Excellent technical research and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt in a fast-changing environment and manage multiple priorities.
You will be part of Newmont’s global Finance team, working with technical accounting, regional accounting teams, auditors, and Investor Relations. The role requires both detailed technical analysis and cross-functional collaboration in a dynamic, global setting.

The salary range offered for this role is USD $89,760 - 117,810. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
