Analyst Relations Lead, Business & Events, International AR, AWS Analyst Relations
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced, self-motivated, personable, and detail-oriented Analyst Relations (AR) Lead to provide operational and event marketing support to International AR teams, within AWS’s broader AR and Marketing organizations. The AR Lead will manage and execute the company's AR strategy and tactics to effectively communicate key differentiators for AWS.

Cloud computing is arguably one of the most impactful developments in technology within the last 20 years. AWS is a pioneer and leader in the fast growing field of cloud computing. Because of this, there are thousands of analysts worldwide who are trying to understand AWS to then help their clients realize the transformation potential of cloud computing for their business. Our role is to inform these analysts and explain how AWS is different from traditional IT infrastructure offerings, and to work with these analysts to understand core customer requirements and concerns.

The Analyst Relations (AR) Lead, Business & Events role will lead both regional business operations and event marketing strategy including owning budget and planning processes, executing across both owned and industry events, and leading key strategic initiatives and/or projects. You will support the execution of operational workflows, refine and improve reporting mechanisms, streamline internal processes, drive operational efficiencies, and create event strategies and tactics to drive positive analyst perception for AWS services and solutions among the analyst community in APJ, China, EMEA and LATAM.

The right candidate possesses a track record of successful business and event management - this includes having a strong grasp of the business, having excellent communication skills and being able to shift seamlessly between strategic counsel and daily tasks. This person will be a team player, and will be resourceful in building relationships across the larger AR and AWS organization across a multitude of timezones and languages.

This position is a temporary 12 month contract, and will be located in an Amazon/AWS corporate office based in the following locations: Australia (Brisbane or Sydney); Singapore.



Key job responsibilities
1. Manage daily and strategic operations and events in partnership with leadership, senior direct reports and key cross-functional partners including Global AR Operations, Global AR Events, Field Marketing, Public Relations, Finance, etc.
2. Manage budget and rhythm of business processes including OP1/OP2 planning, PO and contract management, operational metrics and team reporting.
3. Develop and implement event marketing strategy across both AWS-owned (including AWS Analyst Forum, AWS Summits, re:Invent) and industry (3P) events. Collaborate with Global AR Events and Field Marketing teams to deliver and scale impactful and measurable event experiences.
4. Drive alignment across multiple programs at key moments in the marketing or project management cycle to maximize the effectiveness of the International AR team.
5. Manage special projects in support of the Director/s as well as the full team. Create documents and presentations as needed.
