We are seeking an experienced Payroll professional to join a large-scale payroll transformation project supporting the conversion from SAP to Dayforce. This 12-month term role is heavily focused on **project-based payroll conversion, testing, validation, and process improvement** , rather than steady-state operations. **Here’s where you’ll be focusing:** + Supporting the conversion of payroll processing from SAP to Dayforce, including **data validation, parallel testing, and issue resolution.** + Processing **multiple bi-weekly payrolls** and **monthly retiree payrolls** during the transition period + Participating in **system and user acceptance testing (UAT)** for the new payroll platform + Reviewing, testing, and providing feedback on **payroll reporting solutions** in Dayforce + Analyzing and resolving **complex payroll issues** related to system conversion and configuration + Identifying opportunities to **improve payroll processes, controls, and business efficiency** + Collaborating closely with project teams, Finance, IT, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure a successful implementation **What you have to offer:** + **5+ years of progressive payroll experience** , ideally in a large or unionized environment + **Hands-on experience with Dayforce** (required); SAP HR/Payroll experience is a strong asset + Previous involvement in **payroll system implementations or major conversions** is highly desirable + Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage complex data and scenarios + Undergraduate degree in **Accounting, Business** , or an equivalent combination of education and experience.SAP Finance experience is a strong asset. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex payroll concepts clearly + **Bilingual (English/French)** strongly preferred + **PCP or PLP certification** preferred + Proficiency with **Microsoft Office** , particularly Excel **Who we are:** We started in a small town in Nova Scotia but we are now in communities of all sizes across this great country.
