As an Analyst within the Portfolio Management Group (PMG), you will play a key role in supporting daily monitoring of discretionary investment portfolios for J.P. Morgan’s Private Bank. You will provide analytics and reporting support to Portfolio Managers, ensuring accurate implementation of tactical calls and adherence to client mandates. Your strong attention to detail and data analytical skills will help drive process improvements and deliver high-quality insights to senior stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
Deliver critical and time-sensitive processes with a high level of accuracy within agreed timelinesPrepare reports to monitor drifts in investment portfolios, monitor cash/security activity in accounts, and identify performance outliersIdentify accounts to be traded by Portfolio Managers based on guidelines from the CIO teamAnalyze and report portfolio risk using key metrics (Standard Deviation, Beta, R-Square, Risk Utilization, Tracking Error, etc.) in close partnership with Portfolio ManagersPrepare Key Performance Indicator (KPI) packs, monitor Strategic Asset Allocations, Cash & Overdraft levels, Trading Volume, and analyze drivers of change in these metrics; communicate findings to senior stakeholdersUnderstand requirements of onshore partners and assist in creating or maintaining reporting procedures, tools, and workflows to facilitate the reporting processMaintain a controls mindset, identify control gaps in processes, and implement innovative methods to strengthen processesRequired Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Post Graduate with 1+ years of work experience in the financial services industry, in Data Analytics and/or Reporting; exposure to portfolio monitoring/risk or related functionsGood understanding of global markets and investment productsStrong quantitative and analytical skills, including data analysis and understanding of data flowsProven ability to automate and improve processes using technology; hands-on experience with QlikView/QlikSense, Alteryx, SQL is requiredHighly competent with core MS Office applications (Excel, Access, PowerPoint); advanced Excel expertise is a mustAttention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills
