A career in Internal Audit gives you the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients to understand their objectives and key risks, and ultimately add value by enhancing their control environment and business operations. As our Internal Audit practice in Poneke / Wellington continues to grow, we’re looking for an Analyst to help deliver strategic and operational  internal audit engagements with our clients.  

Day-to-day responsibilities in this role will include:

Grow with Purpose: Work closely with market-leading Internal Audit professionals to reimagine innovative solutions and help build strong, trusted client relationships.

Create Impact: Support senior team members and clients by contributing to the development of internal audit plans, assisting with project scoping, helping coordinate delivery activities, and preparing reports and presentations for client leadership and Audit & Risk Committees.

Excel: Teaming with other subject matter experts to develop bespoke risk and control advice and assistance, bringing the best of the firm to our clients

Inspire Excellence: Contribute to team success by supporting colleagues on engagements, sharing ideas, and learning through collaboration and feedback.

Elevate Standards: Delivering high-quality work through effective task management, attention to detail, and a focus on continuous improvement in client service.

Ngā pūkenga kei a koe / Skills and experience

At least 2 years experience in an internal audit and/or risk focused role within a Professional Services Firm or Internal Audit/Assurance Function. 

Strong understanding of risk frameworks, controls and business processes.

Effective use of tools and IT technologies in performing internal audit projects. 

Understanding of the Institute for Internal Audit standards

Knowledgeable in integrating technology and data disciplines into delivery approaches

Strong presentation skills  

Good understanding and experience of internal audit methodology, risk frameworks, business processes and controls for organisations 

Experience in drafting or assisting with drafting of internal audit reports for management and Audit Committees

Excellent report writing, presentation and analytical skills
